Ring Road Reconstruction - University of Victoria
In 1997, the University began a three-phase, three-year program to reconstruct the road’s pavement structure. Each phase consisted of varying degrees of exacavation, gravelling, grading and paving. Each phase was carried out in a three week time frame to minimize disruption to the Univesity Campus. 1st Team Consulting Ltd. was the prime consultant for these projects producing design drawings, tender documents, and carrying out inspections and contract administration.
- Constructed during three week windows.
- Liaison with University Departments to ensure smooth interface between construction activities and University acitivites.
- Revisions to roadways and walkways to make the route more pedestrian, cyclist and handicap friendly.
