The precise construction tolerances and design details ensured that the greens remained true and fast to create the world class quality of surface required for international championships.
- Creating a sand based, level surface that allowed grass to grow and be cut to 8mm height for competition.
- Design soil filters to allow drainage into subsurface pipes without allowing migration of the sand base.
