Mission Sports Field - Mission, BC
The Sports Field Project development spans 13 hectares and includes a total of 10 fields. These include 4 sand based natural turf soccer fields with extensive sub drains (there are 4 slowpith fields overlain on top of these), 4 natural turf baseball fields, and 2 all weather gravel fields.
- Approvals from Fisheries for major drainage works (750mm) through the site.
- Project management of Architectural, Landscape Architecture, Electrical, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering.
- 1% grade on soccer fields to significantly reduce the volumes of import sand and earthworks. The minor grade is imperceptible but allows for a single plane for all 4 fields. This also allows for more efficient spacing of the slowpitch fields which dramatically reduced the cost of the project. The above savings were in excess of $200,000.00.
- Design and construction on a very tight budget and construction time line to meet seeding schedule.
