Costco Wholesale - City of Langford, BC
1st Team Consulting Ltd. worked for many years with Costco Wholesale in order to secure a building site in the Victoria area. Eventually a suitable site was found, rezoning was carried out and a development permit was issued. This was a large scale project involving 2 km of new watermains ranging in size from 400 to 200, grading of approximately 15 hectares of rocky terrain, and construction of a 650m access road with full servicing. The project was tendered in three phases and 1st Team Consulting Ltd. carried out full design services, tendering, inspection, contract administration, construction layout, and quantity calculations.
- Large scale earthworks including cut and fill of 100,000m of rock.
- Cuts and fills ranging to 12m.
- Extensive large diameter water supply servicing.
- Live tap into 1300 concrete/steel CRD Watermain.
- Stringent parameters imposed by Costco on fill compaction and site grading.
- Shear blasting to limit impact of large rock cuts on neighbouring lands.
