Pearkes Arena Expansion
1st Team Consulting Ltd. provided design and supervision services for infrastructure services to the new arena. These included parking lot grading, sanitary sewer and water supply. Based on an extensive Storm Water Management Plan, a storm runoff collection and treatment system was also designed. Construction services as well as record drawings were produced.
- Comprehensive Stormwater Management Plan due to ultimate discharge to environmentally sensitive Colquitz Creek. The plan investigated several runoff treatment options including wet pond, “Stormceptor” and biofilter swale. The Biofilter Swale Option was selected due to its simple design, effectiveness and easy maintenance.
- Close cooperation with District of Saanich Parks, Planning and Environmental Planning staff was maintained throughout the design and construction process.
